Template Overview
Skincare shoppers rarely know which cleanser, serum and moisturizer belong together. This skincare routine finder quiz asks 5 quick questions and answers with a complete 3-step routine, which is a lot easier to buy than a single product picked from a crowded shelf.
Shoppers pick their skin type, main concern, how consistent their current routine is, their age bracket and fragrance preference. Answer-based outcomes map those answers to one of 4 routines: Clear Skin Starter, Hydration Essentials, Age-Defy Routine and Sensitive Soothing. Each result shows 3 products in the order they're used, a morning and evening routine and a short tip on keeping things gentle.
Answer piping repeats the shopper's skin type, main focus and fragrance preference on the result, so the recommendation feels made for them. The email step sits right before the result, and every completed quiz becomes a contact that built-in email automation sends routine-specific email sequences to. Use it as a product recommendation quiz for DTC skincare brands, beauty retailers and wellness shops.
Key Features
Four ready-made routines - oily and breakout-prone, dry, mature and sensitive skin each get their own outcome page with a cleanser, a treatment and a moisturizer. Swap the placeholder products for your own range.
Answer-based outcome mapping - each answer counts toward the routine it fits, and the routine with the most points wins. Use Individual Score & Calculation when one answer, like Sensitive, should outweigh the rest.
Personalized result pages - answer piping inserts the shopper's skin type, main focus, fragrance preference and current routine into the result copy.
Email capture before the routine - the contact step asks for first name and email right before the result, the moment shoppers most want to see it.
Email sequences by routine - built-in email automation sends the routine, waits and branches on the outcome, so a Hydration Essentials shopper gets different emails than a Clear Skin Starter shopper.
Benefits
Sell routines as bundles - every result is a 3-product routine, which makes the full set the obvious thing to buy.
Answers the question shoppers ask most - which products suit my skin? The quiz answers it on your site, before the shopper leaves to search for reviews.
Zero-party data on every shopper - skin type, main concern, age bracket and fragrance preference sit on the contact record and in your email platform, ready for segmentation.
Works on your store - embed it on Shopify, Wix or Squarespace, inline on a collection page or as a pop-up.
Short enough to finish - 5 questions and about 60 seconds, so shoppers reach their routine before they lose interest.
How It Works
Customize
Replace the example products (Clarifying Gel Cleanser, Balance BHA Serum and the rest) with your own names, images and descriptions, and add buttons that link to your product pages. Keep the routine names or rename them after your own collections. Then match fonts, colors and photography to your store.Configure
In the outcome settings, check which answers point to which routine. Map Sensitive and Redness to Sensitive Soothing, for example, and give them extra weight so they win over other answers. Add another outcome page if your range covers a concern the template leaves out, such as dark spots.Connect
Push contacts and their answers to Klaviyo, Mailchimp or another email platform through the Connect tab, or keep the follow-up in involve.me. A simple email automation workflow: send the routine right away, wait 3 days, send a how-to-use email for the matching routine, then a reorder reminder after 2 weeks.Share
Embed the quiz on your homepage, a collection page or a find-your-routine landing page. Open it as a pop-up for first-time visitors, link it in your welcome email and put the standalone link in your Instagram and TikTok bios.Analyze
Check which routine wins most often and which question loses the most shoppers. If one routine dominates, your traffic skews toward that concern, and that is the bundle to feature in ads. Compare quiz completions with email signups to see what the email step costs you.
FAQs
-
It is an Answer-based Outcomes funnel. Each answer is mapped to one of the 4 routines, and the routine that collects the most points is shown. Answers that should only personalize the copy can be set to No outcome mapped and still appear on the result through answer piping.

Each completed quiz creates a contact with the answers and the routine attached. Built-in email automation sends the routine and follow-up emails by outcome, and the Connect tab passes contacts to Klaviyo, Mailchimp or another of the 50+ native integrations.

This one has 5 questions and takes about 60 seconds, which is long enough to recommend a full routine and short enough that shoppers finish. Before you add a question, check that it changes the recommendation. If it only satisfies curiosity, leave it out.
